Medical Detoxification
The first step toward lasting recovery begins with safe, medically supervised detoxification. At HHAT Clinic in Eugene, Oregon, our detox program provides 24/7 medical monitoring to ensure your comfort and safety as your body clears harmful substances.
Detoxification is rarely comfortable, but it does not have to be dangerous. Our board-certified physicians and experienced nursing staff use evidence-based protocols and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to manage withdrawal symptoms, reduce cravings, and prevent complications. Each detox plan is individualized based on the substance used, duration of use, and overall health status.
Our medical detox program typically lasts 3-7 days, depending on individual needs and substance dependency. Throughout the process, our clinical team provides continuous assessment and adjusts treatment as needed to ensure the safest possible transition into the next phase of care.
The Detox Process
Assessment
Comprehensive medical and psychological evaluation to determine your unique detox needs, substance history, and any co-occurring conditions that require attention.
Stabilization
Medically managed withdrawal with 24/7 monitoring, medication-assisted treatment to ease symptoms, and round-the-clock nursing care for your safety and comfort.
Transition to Treatment
Smooth transition into residential or outpatient care with a personalized treatment plan developed by your clinical team to continue your recovery journey.
Substances We Treat
Our medical team is experienced in safely managing withdrawal from a wide range of substances.
Residential Treatment
Our residential treatment program provides an immersive, structured environment where individuals can focus entirely on recovery without the distractions and triggers of everyday life.
At HHAT Clinic, residential care means living on-site at our Eugene, Oregon facility while participating in a comprehensive schedule of individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy sessions, and holistic healing activities. Our evidence-based approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), 12-step facilitation, and trauma-informed care to address the root causes of addiction.
We offer flexible program lengths of 30, 60, and 90 days to accommodate different recovery needs. Longer stays are associated with stronger outcomes, and our clinical team will help determine the ideal duration based on your individual assessment.
Sample Daily Schedule
Program Length Options
30-Day Program
Foundation-level care ideal for those with shorter substance use histories or strong external support systems. Builds core coping skills and relapse prevention strategies.
60-Day Program
Extended care that allows deeper therapeutic work, addressing underlying trauma, behavioral patterns, and co-occurring mental health conditions with greater thoroughness.
90-Day Program
Our most comprehensive option, associated with the strongest long-term outcomes. Provides time for lasting behavioral change, family repair, and robust aftercare planning.
Outpatient Programs
Our outpatient programs provide structured addiction treatment while allowing you to live at home and maintain work, school, or family obligations. These programs serve as both a primary treatment option and a step-down from residential care.
HHAT Clinic offers three distinct levels of outpatient care -- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Standard Outpatient -- each designed to provide the appropriate intensity of support based on your stage of recovery. Our outpatient programs incorporate the same evidence-based therapies used in our residential program, including CBT, DBT, group therapy, individual counseling, and family therapy.
Our step-down care model ensures a smooth transition between levels of care. As you progress in recovery, you gradually move from more intensive support to greater independence, reducing the risk of relapse while building confidence in your ability to maintain sobriety in everyday life.
Outpatient Program Details
Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
Our highest level of outpatient care, PHP provides 20-30 hours of treatment per week over 2-4 weeks. Attend 5-6 days per week with daily medical check-ins, comprehensive therapy sessions, and structured programming. Ideal as a step-down from residential treatment or for those needing intensive daily support.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
IOP provides 9-15 hours of weekly treatment over 8-12 weeks, meeting 3-5 days per week. This flexible program includes group therapy, individual counseling, and skills-building workshops while allowing you to maintain your daily schedule. Weekly medical reviews ensure your progress stays on track.
Standard Outpatient
Our standard outpatient program provides 1-3 hours of therapy per week on a flexible, ongoing basis. Meeting 1-2 days per week for individual and group sessions, this level of care is designed for those in later stages of recovery who need continued support and accountability.

Outpatient & Aftercare
Maintain long-term recovery with standard outpatient sessions and aftercare planning including alumni support and relapse prevention.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Many individuals struggling with addiction also experience co-occurring mental health disorders. At HHAT Clinic, we believe that treating both conditions simultaneously is essential for lasting recovery.
Dual diagnosis treatment, also known as co-occurring disorder treatment, addresses the complex relationship between substance use and mental health. When one condition goes untreated, it often undermines recovery from the other. Our integrated approach ensures that both issues receive equal clinical attention from the same treatment team.
Our licensed psychiatrists, therapists, and counselors use evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and psychiatric medication management to treat the whole person. Individual treatment plans are continuously adjusted based on your progress and evolving needs.
Mental Health Conditions We Treat
Our clinical team is experienced in treating a range of co-occurring mental health disorders alongside addiction.
Depression
Major depressive disorder and persistent depressive disorder often co-occur with substance use, creating a cycle that our integrated approach is designed to break.
Anxiety
Generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, and panic disorder are frequently linked to substance use as individuals self-medicate to manage symptoms.
PTSD
Post-traumatic stress disorder and unresolved trauma are among the most common co-occurring conditions, treated through our trauma-informed care framework.
Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar disorder requires careful psychiatric management alongside addiction treatment, with coordinated medication and therapeutic interventions.
